We definitely want seats from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh as well

"We need these clarifications so that we can give answers to people. We want them (BJP) to maintain the sanctity of the coalition," Paras told ANI. We are asking for the same number of seats that we fought from in 2014.This came after Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) severing ties on grounds that BJP did not heed their demands. With six seats in the Lok Sabha, LJP is an important ally in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre. We definitely want seats from Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh as well, as our vote bank exists in these states. ‘We are asking for what is rightfully ours.Top sources in the LJP who wished to remain anonymous due to the politically sensitive nature of pre-poll coalition discussions added that the BJP was yet to respond to LJP&China Acrylic Toilet Seats Manufacturer39;s demands. We are an honest partner of the NDA. At this point in time, the BJP should look into concerns of the parties who are still in alliance with them before it is too late," he had tweeted in Hindi. His demands also included seats for the LJP in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand."We spoke to BJP leaders about the seat share but nothing substantial has come out till now.Furthermore, Paswan had claimed that he had met BJP leaders for discussing matters pertaining to seat sharing in the assembly, but nothing substantial was achieved. It is in their interest to ensure the decisions in this matter are taken in the right direction well in time, otherwise, they will have to bear the damages," Paswan had tweeted.Pashupati Paras, a top leader in the LJP and a member of the Paswan clan, demanded that his party should get the same seat share in Bihar that they got in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The results of the recent polls in three states are worrying," added the LJP source."The NDA is going through a delicate phase after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) pulled out of the alliance. On Tuesday, its MP Chirag Paswan had launched a veiled threat to pull out of the NDA.. He further advised the BJP to look into the concerns of its allies or gear up to face consequences at this "delicate" stage. We are an honest partner of the NDA,’ LJP leader Pashupati Paras said."We are asking for what is rightfully ours. We want Amit Shah to finalise this by December 31. Time is running out now.The sources went on to say that letters had been written to the Finance Minister to get clarifications on demonetisation but had yielded no results from North Block.LJP's new set of demands come in the backdrop of another NDA ally, Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) severing ties with the NDA after their demands were met with a stoic silence from the BJP. # Patna: Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ally, has ramped up the pressure on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to acquiesce to their demands for seat share in Bihar and to add seats in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand as well to sweeten the deal further. In fact, talks related to seat share with the BJP had not been held at all.

Brahmbhatt claimed that she has been selected

Maninagar, the constituency where people have not seen a nail-biting finish in the elections, is considered as an unbreachable bastion of the BJP since 1990.Now, Patel will face first-timer Brahmbhatt, who did her masters in international finance from the University of Westminster, London in 2005. Prior to that, BJP leader Kamlesh Patel represented the seat from 1990 till 1998."The people of Maninagar are attached to Modi&Acrylic Toilet Seats Factory39;s ideology of development. .However, it will not be easy for the Congress to take on the BJP in Maninagar, which houses the state headquarters of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. I am sure that people of this seat, especially the youth and women, will put their trust in me," the aspiring leader said.Following Modi's resignation from Maninagar after becoming the prime minister office in 2014, the people elected BJP's Suresh Patel by a thumping majority of over 49,000 votes in the byelection to the seat. Ahmedabad: The city's Maninagar seat, a BJP bastion and # constituency of Narendra Modi before he became the prime minister, is set for an interesting contest between the ruling party's sitting MLA, Suresh Patel and Congress' suave and foreign-educated young face Shweta Brahmbhatt. Brahmbhatt's father is a senior Congress leader of the city and the aspiring politician is confident of winning the hearts of voters through her 'vision and determination'. Brahmbhatt feels it is necessary "to be a part of system to change the system". My sole purpose to contest this election is to be the voice of youth and women," she said.Though Brahmbhatt's selection came as a surprise to many, despite the fact that her father Narendra Brahmbhatt is a senior Congress leader of the city, the aspiring politician is confident of winning the hearts of voters through her "vision and determination".34 years old, suave and foreign-educated Sweta Brahmbhatt has trained to be a politician from IIM-Bangalore.""My focus is on education, employment and women empowerment.Brahmbhatt, 34, is perhaps the only candidate in this Assembly poll who has received training to be a politician, that too from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. In 2012, Modi defeated his closest rival, Congress candidate Shweta Bhatt, the wife of former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt who was a stringent critic of the Gujarat government under Modi, by a margin of over 86,000 votes..Prime Minister Narendra Modi, then as Gujarat chief minister, represented it in the Assembly in 2002, 2007 and 2012. I want to make sure that others don't face it," she said.On the other side, BJP's nominee Suresh Patel exuded confidence of his victory in the party stronghold. She also worked as an investment banker with multinational firms in India. I firmly believe that she will lose her deposit," the 57-year-old leader said. This is how Congress works.Votes would be counted on December 18."Despite being a highly educated woman, I faced many troubles in setting up my own business, mostly due to red-tapism. During my campaigning, I haven't seen a single Congress worker in Maninagar canvassing for their candidate. As many as 93 Assembly seats of north and central Gujarat would go to polls in the second phase on December 14."I have seen politics since early age.In 2012, she went to IIM Bangalore to pursue the 'India-Women in Leadership' programme, designed to provide training to aspiring women politicians.Brahmbhatt claimed that she has been selected by the Congress to contest from the seat because of her "vision and zeal to do something for the next generation. I consider politics as social work.
